Om du trodde att Nitad spelar hardcore så är du fjorton år. Hardcore är för barn och Nitad är gubbar. Om du trodde att Nitad gillar punk så trodde du fel. Nitad gillar ingenting. Visst kan du nosa dig till influenser av Liket Lever, Iron Maiden, Jesus Lizard och Zero Boys. Eller kanske Butthole Surfers, Black Flag och Hawkwind. Men alla dessa referenser hit och dit är ju helt meningslösa. Allt är redan gjort, ingenting är nytt, och du är också snart gammal.

Nitad handlar mer om en känsla av något större. Något bredare, och rymligare. Den där enorma känslan av uppgivenhet. Som att stirra in i spåkulan och se att allt bara är svart. Ett stort svart hål som känns större än de där nattsvarta hålen i universum som du fick höra om i skolan. När du satt där och karvade bokstäver i din träbänk och tänkte på hur allt ändå kommer att implodera. Och det var väl där nånstans som du insåg att det blir fan inte mycket mer än så här.

Nitad gör musik för just dig. Musik för hon som går och går men aldrig kommer fram. För han som såg ljuset i tunneln, men nu inser att det bara blir mörkare och mörkare. Eller för dom där som alltid har haft saker inom ett armlängdsavstånd, men aldrig lyckats nå skiten.

Nitad gör ju också det, bara går och går. Dygnet runt i det där ekorrhjulet som kallas livet. De har snart gjort tusen släpp och deras musikaliska väg blir bara krokigare och krokigare. Rakare och rakare. Jobbigare och jobbigare. Du som vill ha glädje bör spana åt ett annat håll. Hos Nitad finns inget för dig att hämta. Nitad vill inte vara som du, och du vill inte vara som dom. Help a cool band out!

When Your Number's Up

Yeah, you heard. Apparently, it gets even worse. That's all I know or even want to know for now. We got robbed at the very end of tour in a totally unreal, extremely sketchy series of events that still makes no sense at all, only leads to paranoia, anger and a total loss of faith. Passports, money, all the costs of the tour. Either way, whoever did it, it was a bullet in the head, the end of the line. A sudden and totally fucked up way for it to end, which I know will be fitting when I look back on it. All we could do was play the show, badly, and go our ways with whatever money we could muster. I hitched a ride back to Prague with Tomas. Since I can't do a fucking thing about it, I'm going to hang out with my girl, and friends, stare at some Czech mountains and try not to think about it. Needless to say, all outstanding plans are off. All this shit aside, thanks to everyone that helped out and travelled from all over for the shows on this tour, all the kids and bands we played and stayed with. Minus a few fucked up shows, it was probably the best tour we ever had. Thanks everyone for your good wishes. I'll elaborate when I'm home next week, for now - yes it's true, and yes it's over.

Help CURSED!

As news travels fast most of you should have heard by now that Cursed, on their 2nd to last show of their European tour, got robbed from all their tour-money. Money they needed tp pay their van, their plane-tickets and their merch. Apperently someone, in a squat in Mullheim, Germany, got his way into a locked room and stole the bag that had the money, being over 8000 Euro’s, passports and some personal belongings, leaving the band not only with debts but most and for all a feeling of total despair. The band played, as what to appears, their last show the day after in Amsterdam, Holland....

We, as their European label, have never ever asked anyone to help out financially, and even though we have lost a fair amount of money as well, won’t do that now either. What we however are not afraid to do, is ask to help out Cursed.
And although, Chris Colohan, the singer and spokesman of the band is very clear on their website yourfuckingfuneralblogspot.com about the (non excisting) future of Cursed, we feel we should do whatever we can to at least try and give them back a sense of hope and faith in the hardcore and punk community.

We also have leftover merch for sale in our online-store, we have their new album available. And some other goodies…. We would kindly ask you to pick up something from this incredible band and in that way help them out.

We’ve heard some plans from people doing benefit shows and what-not, but nothing is certain yet. Hopefully ‘our’ community, something we still believe in, can come up with something and really show that hardcore is for the kids, and BY the kids.

After 15 years, this unreleased 12" including 7 unheard blasts of epic legendary hardcore/crust will now become available on 180g vinyl in a slick, embossed and glossed gatefold jacket w/ lyrics. From the same 1993 recording session as the WARCOLLAPSE and SAUNA splits (Lanes in Boston , MA ), these brutal tracks will now see the light of day. Color vinyl is limited so act fast!! Camouflage Splatter and 1/2 Black&White wax is available!!

Discharge 'War is Hell' LP ($11.00)-
Originally released as the Discharge ‘Tour Edition’ CD (2004), this material has now been pressed onto vinyl and CD with bonus tracks. The album features 19 bombs of D-beat including their unreleased 1978 demo along with two tracks from thier 'Beginning is the End' 7". Limited white wax is available.
